This Content Complements My Work as a Wine Steward

To learn about the Texas Hill Country wine industry and participate in it, in spring 2025 I landed a position as a wine steward at a local winery. It has been a fun adventure from the beginning, and continues to be. In addition to learning more about wine myself, I enjoy talking to guests about it and guiding them; I like helping them get the most out of what they are drinking. I built this guide as an online reference to complement my in-person wine serving experiences.

I live in the heart of the popular US Highway 290 Texas Wine Corridor. About 20 years ago I built a house here in far eastern Gillespie County, primarily attracted to this area's great cycling roads. Since then I have watched countless wineries sprout up and flourish around me. I have had the itch to find a way to participate since about day one. Glad I finally did. I work with many nice people and meet so many happy and interesting guests.
