Corkscrews

A Simple Model Is (Probably) All You Need

I look for simplicity in a corkscrew. No plastic. No batteries. No polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon). No compressed gas. Just a reliable, no frills "waiter's friend". Finding such a specimen can be difficult, but this Made in Italy model is a great example of a no-frills corkscrew that should serve you well removing countless corks.

Do you need a "non-stick" worm? Emphatically no. We open wines all day everyday at Signor Vineyards with openers that feature a chrome worm, and I have never seen one wear out from use.
